MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS SEMINAR

In preparation for our Mental Health Awareness held on the 20th of April 2017, Caywood Brown Foundation went on a media tour with our partner Dr. Mrs Maymunah Kadiri of PINNACLE MEDICALS “SPEAKOUT INITIATIVE” who was the main speaker at Our Seminar. We visited Rivers State Television (RSTV), Wazobia FM, Rythme 93.4 and Radio Rivers to discuss the issues of Mental Health and invite listeners to come and hear several specialist speak on our theme “Depression, Lets Talk”

We have organized several awareness campaigns and seminars around health-related issues. This seminar was in collaboration with Pinnancle Media “Speak out Initiative” boss Dr. Maymunah Garuba Kadir tagged: “Depression, Let’s Talk”. The aim was to throw more light on the issue of Depression and how it affects women and youths. Women because of how they are naturally built to be care givers and are always seen to be strong and Youths because most times, they believe the world is coming to an end because of issues which concerns them. Through the radio and TV sensitization that was carried out, we had a good turnout of almost 100 persons in attendance.
