This seminar was in collaboration with National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and Centre for Advocacy on Drugs and Substance Abuse (CARDS) In continuation of the Drug Abuse Awareness Seminar held in 2017. Those who came forward for the Rehabilitation which commenced in October 2017 and it ran for 6 months. At the end, 4 persons completed the rehabilitation and to encourage them, Her Excellency decided to empower them In the following profession and trade
Tiler- Necessary Equipment were provided for him
Tailor- A sewing machine and a generator was provided
Cold Room Business – A deep freezer and generator was provided
The last person is insisting on going to the University to Study Medicine
and Her Excellency has promised to ensure that his dreams come true. He has written Jamb and post UME and gained admission to study Plant Science and Biotechnology and is currently in 200 level. After this program, we had over 30 persons come forward for rehabilitation but we had to put the entire program on hold in order for us to raise more funds.
